Interviewer: Please tell us your first impressions of each member when you met them for the first time.
Die: The first time I met Shinya was when my previous previous band was doing a live together. But even if I was in the same place as him, I didn't notice him and I don't think he noticed me either. And when it was certain that he was going to join my previous band, we spoke for the first time. But still Shinya only replied 'yes' (laugh).
Interviewer: But now you all seem as if you were brothers.
Die: No, but recently I haven't spoken to him much.
Kaoru: That's not true. We talk quite a lot in the car.
Die: But it might just be because I haven't made him angry. We only talk about normal stuff so I don't feel as I have had contact with him, I feel like I haven't spoken to him (laugh).
Kaoru: Because you haven't made him cross (laugh)? In my case I first met him when I was asked to join Kyo and Shinya's band, which is the band before Dir en grey and went to see their band. Even if I talked to Shinya he always replied me casually. My first impression of him was that he was like a boy. His hair was also short still.
Die: Oh yes, he was still young wasn't he? He was still going to school. He used to appear in studios wearing his school uniform.
Kaoru: Yes, he looked really childish to me. After we finish in the studio, me and Shinya go on the same train for 3 to 4 stations and so whenever I tried to speak to him he would always act as if I was a stranger and I was troubled, because it was as if he wasn't a band member (laugh).
Die: I once too had to go to the train station with him and we never spoke a word to each other. Our train went different directions so I had no idea what to talk about and I remember wishing the train came quickly.
Kaoru: When we were waiting for the train I said things such as "We still have time, shall we sit on the bench?" (laugh).
Die: That's a bit like a first date with someone! (laugh)
Kaoru: Yes, yes it was like that. (laugh)
